Terms of Use
Effective Date: July 13, 2026  ·  Applies to iOS and Android

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Use are the agreement between you and Nett ("we", "us", "our") for your use of the Nett app on iOS and Android. When you download, open, or use Nett, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Nett does not require an account, so you accept these terms by using the app rather than by signing up.

2. Who Can Use Nett

You may use Nett if you are at least 13 years old, or 16 in the European Union. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use Nett only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

By using Nett, you confirm that you meet these age requirements and that you can enter into this agreement.

3. Your License to Use Nett

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Nett on devices you own or control, for your own personal or internal business tracking. This license lasts for as long as you follow these terms.

You may not:

4. Your Data and Your Backups

Nett is local-first. The financial data you enter stays on your device. We do not host it, and we cannot see it, recover it, or restore it for you.

How we handle the limited analytics data the app collects is explained in our Privacy Policy.

5. Free and Premium Plans

Nett is free to use, with an optional Premium upgrade that unlocks additional features. You can see what Premium includes inside the app before you buy.

Payments and billing

Managing and cancelling

Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings, not inside Nett. Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under Apple's or Google's refund policies. Because billing runs through them, we cannot issue refunds directly. If a store grants you a refund, we may end the matching Premium access.

6. Acceptable Use

Use Nett lawfully and as intended. You agree not to:

7. Nett Is Not Financial Advice

Nett is a tool for tracking your own income, expenses, budgets, and goals. It is not a bank, a broker, an accountant, or a financial advisor.

Nothing in the app is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. The numbers, charts, and summaries you see are based only on the data you enter. You are responsible for the accuracy of that data and for the decisions you make. For advice about your money, speak to a qualified professional.

8. Our Intellectual Property

Nett, including its name, logo, design, and software, belongs to us and is protected by intellectual property laws. These terms give you a license to use the app, not any ownership of it. The data you enter is yours and is not covered by this section.

9. Third-Party Services

Nett works alongside services provided by others, including the Apple App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat for payments, and PostHog for anonymous analytics. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services and do not control them.

If you back up your data to a service such as iCloud Drive or Google Drive, that service's terms and security apply to your backup file.

10. The App Is Provided "As Is"

We work to keep Nett reliable and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the extent the law allows.

We do not promise that the app will always be available, error-free, or free of interruptions, or that it will meet every need. You use Nett at your own discretion and risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of Nett, including lost data, lost profits, or losses from financial decisions you make.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for Nett in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Changes to Nett and to These Terms

We may add, change, or remove features over time to keep improving the app. We may also update these terms. When a change is material, we will show a notice in the app before it takes effect.

Continuing to use Nett after an update means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app.

13. Ending Your Use

You can stop using Nett at any time by deleting the app from your device. You may also delete your on-device data first from Settings, then Danger Zone, then Delete All Data.

We may suspend or end your license if you break these terms. If we do, the sections that by their nature should continue, such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, still apply.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of India, unless the mandatory law of the country where you live requires otherwise.

The short version

Use Nett for your own tracking, follow the rules above, and keep your own backups since your data lives on your device. Premium billing runs through Apple or Google. Nett is a tracking tool, not financial advice, and it comes with no guarantees. Manage subscriptions in your app store, and email us with any questions.
